This week, I chose the category pattern/shape/texture for my photo assignment. This weekend, the weather was not to great, so most of the time I was limited to taking photos inside. A lot of these turned out horrible.I liked a few photos that I took of eggs in a carton and of the tile in my bathroom. The next day, it was okay weather, so I took a few photos of the pathway up to my house, some cool-textured leaves, a bench in my backyard, and our woodpile. I really like the variety of textures on the woodpile.
Overall, I think my best photo was of the pathway. I like how the curve of the path leads your eyes across the photo. I also like the shapes of the brick, and the leaves scattered across the photo.

Nice job Ann. Could these pictures have anything to do with what we were doing in photo club this week? I can really see the texture in these photos. I really like the one of the path. Technically its great and it uses a ton of elements of composition. The only thing I see that could be better is exposure. A few photos are to bright and a few are to dark.
ReplyDeleteI really like the texture that the leaves give on the stone. Great job!
ReplyDeletethe pattern and texture on the sidewalk is very eye catching. good idea to make it in black and white, it really highlights the shapes.
ReplyDeleteGood job! You showed texture and patterns very well. I love the one of the red leaves. I like the colors.
ReplyDeleteI really like how you chose to do this in black and white. It Makes you focus more on whats actually going on in this picture. i also really the eggs. Good job:]
ReplyDeleteYour best photo is awesome! I like how you can really see the texture/shapes/patterns. Also, I like how the photo leads your eyes right down the path. The only thing I can think of is maybe play around with the depth of field to see if you can get some cool effects. Great job though!
ReplyDeleteI love your best picture it look sorta like the yellow brick road from the Wizard of Oz! I love how you captured texture. Good job.
ReplyDeleteANN! Love it, as Bush said, the curves really give a calming sense to the picture. :) I love your choice to desaturate it, looks great.
